My 13-year-old has bounced back from the end of Harry Potter by picking up The Spiderwick Chronicles. He loves them -- even though they're short and written for the younger set (of course, that doesn't stop me from liking them, too). He just likes entering into a new fantasy world where elves and brownies and goblins are real. And he likes to picture things in his own mind before the movie comes out. It's scheduled for a February release. It's been fun to have another series to talk about together! |
