I just received my favorite press release of the year, thus far, from Pocket Books regarding a new book by Chris Salvatore. Gotta love the plot: "In Necking, a publicist to the underworld battles an evil Master Vampire who's after her to-die-for Rolodex." Did you ever doubt that the underworld must have a totally Type A, Ari Gold-esque publicist? Of course it does. But my favorite part of the press release was the headline, proclaiming this a book for those who enjoy "bit lit." I'd never heard that phrase for before, but I really, really, really wish I could take credit for it. |
