Valerie Bertinelli's scheduled appearance in Dallas tonight has been canceled, I am told. The cause, presumably, is the threat of seasonal weather in Texas. Borders says she will reschedule. Details will be posted when they are available. (Coming on the heels of Van Halen's postponement -- it is a tough, tough day for many people out there.) UPDATE, 4:30 P.M.: Borders district marketing manager Carlo Rich confirms that a canceled flight is to blame. He also confirms that, given high interest for the signing, the store is working to reschedule with Ms. Bertinelli, whose publicist says the star "definitely" wants to come to Dallas. |
