The Writers League of Texas is planning its 2008 Agents and Editors Conference in Austin June 20-22. Yours truly will be serving on a panel, but don't let that dissuade you. The likes of Sara Nelson and Ron Hogan will provide actual insight, I am sure. Or maybe you'll be too busy standing in the hallway getting an agent to take on your evocative novel about an intelligent yet oddly attractive literature fan who and spends his/her time reading Texas-based books blogs. The Writers League is a nonprofit group but will charge you to attend. (Disclosure: A few cents of that will go to cover the cost of me driving from Dallas to Austin. So thank you.)
