Harry Potter hordes to make Dallas Hogwarts for a weekend

potter.jpgYou'll be reading more about this closer to the event, but just so everyone can get out their pointy hats and brooms to prepare:

"Portus 2008: A Harry Potter Symposium" is coming to town July 10-13 at the Hilton Anatole. "Anyone who wishes to deepen their knowledge of and appreciation for the Harry Potter novels, explore their influence on our culture, or simply bask in one of the largest and most influential fan followings ever assembled will find a home at Portus," organizers said in their press release.


Registration costs $220 for a four-day pass, $75 for a single day. I've been hearing about this international gathering since the release of Deathly Hallows last year, so it promises to be quite the gathering.

It is going to be an amazing time! Everyone should at least come out on Saturday to hear Jim Dale speak (Harry Potter audio books, Pushing Daisies narrator among his many works). More info on portus2008.org!!
