I've been a fan since one of my smug, liberal, college-educated friends sent me the link a few months back. But perhaps you disagree. If so, here's your forum. Texas Pages regulars will particularly enjoy the book's White Annotated Bibliography (which is attached to entry No. 25, "David Sedaris.") The bibliography includes such entries as: Dave Eggers, A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius. "Honestly, I'm not afraid to call this the book of our generation. He captures all that we are and aspire to be." James Joyce, Finnegans Wake. "I love Joyce, although I feel as though Dubliners captures the spirit of the Irish more than this book." (Note: It is an old white-person trick to steer the conversation away from books that you have not read.) Jack Kerouac, On the Road. "I read this book when I was sixteen years old. I would say that by the time I reached page 2, I knew I wanted to be a writer. " (Note: Advanced white people are disgusted by people who like this book.)
