You read it here first, folks: Legacy Books, a new, independent bookstore, arrives has set its opening date as Nov. 7, says Kyle Hall, the store's director of marketing and events. A grand lineup of authors is promised that weekend to help kick things off. And, for the hundreds of you who have already expressed interest in working there -- a job fair will be scheduled ahead of time. But well ahead of that, Allen residents will be able to welcome their new Borders, at 965 West Bethany Drive, on Aug. 15. This will be a new concept Borders store, first in the area and one of a handful nationally, so it could be interesting. I should have details soon on the lineup of authors and events planned for the grand opening that weekend. |
