Writers, there's still time to submit your entry for the TCU Texas Book Award, which offers $5,000 for the best book about Texas. The press release says that fiction, nonfiction, art and photography books will be considered; juvenile, young adult and dramatic works will not. The award is sponsored by Friends of the TCU Library and TCU Press. To enter, send three copies of the book to TCU Press, Box 298300, Fort Worth, Texas, 76129. Clearly mark them as for the "TCU Texas Book Award." Books must be postmarked by Dec. 31. The winner will be notified by March 1. For details, try b.standlee@tcu.edu. E-mail entry: |
