Chuck Norris: Tough enough to sign books Tuesday in Azle

OK, so it's not exactly a superhuman feat of will and strength, but Chuck Norris will be signing Black Belt Patriotism: How to Reawaken America 8 p.m. Tuesday at John's Main Street Christian Store, 133 West Main in Azle. The store can be reached at 817-270-2305.

If the news has somehow escaped you, Chuck Norris may be the toughest author alive. And I'm not just saying that out of fear that he will hunt me down and kick my skinny newspaper editor ... self. As that link explains, "Chuck Norris doesn't read books. He stares them down until he gets the information he wants."

Laura Bush, the soon to be Dallas resident and former first lady, has signed a deal to publish a memoir, Publishers Weekly reports.

Here are full details from The Associated Press:

WASHINGTON -- First lady Laura Bush has sealed a deal worth millions with Scribner to publish a memoir that will encompass her recollections of personal and historical moments, including her eight years in the White House.
The publishing house, in announcing the agreement on Monday, said the memoir is expected to be released in 2010. Sally McDonough, first lady Laura Bush's press secretary, declined to say how much Bush is being paid for the book but past deals involving first ladies have carried multimillion-dollar payouts.
McDonough said the first lady would work with a collaborator though one hasn't been selected yet.
