Michael Granberry
Michael grew up in the Pleasant Grove section of Dallas, where he graduated from Samuell High School. He moved on to Southern Methodist University, where he became editor of The SMU Daily Campus. He served his journalistic internship at the Washington Post during "the Watergate summer" of 1973 and graduated from SMU in 1974. He then became sports editor of the Anchorage Times, which he left in 1976 to return to Dallas, where he became a Sunday magazine feature writer for the Morning News. He left in 1978 to join the Los Angeles Times, where he worked for 19 years before returning to his hometown and to the Morning News in 1997.

Nancy Churnin has specialized in kids entertainment and family issues for the Dallas Morning News for 10 years. A former television writer, magazine writer and award-wining theater critic with the Los Angeles Times, she graduated cum laude from Harvard University and has a master's in journalism from Columbia University.
